Why choose Timestrip TIR over a digital data logger?

Temperature sensitive data loggers are expensive equipment. They typically need software and training to use. Data loggers are for when you need continuous up to minute data along the cold chain.

Timestrip TIR offers you the option of a PDF download of auditable data. However, unlike data loggers you only need a smart phone.

Moreover, single use Timestrip TIR can be read simply by pressing the button. Then an OK or ALARM status light blinks. This means everyone along the cold chain can check the status of the shipment, without any special training or equipment.

Clear Digital Indication of Temperature abuse

Simple technology

The Timestrip TIR is a temperature sensitive device for continuous temperature monitoring. In other words, it calculates remaining stability protocol along the entire supply chain.

Timestrip TIR manages deviations for up to 6 alarm levels. The alarm status is always visible. Reports can be downloaded wirelessly as a PDF with a convenient Smartphone App.

How much of our stability budget remains?”
Not only does the Timestrip TIR show you if a temperature breach has occurred, it provides a PDF download of data.

Long Lasting Storage and Shipping

Activation tab

Timestrip TIR comes preconfigured with a stability budget. Once your product is ready to be shipped, tear off the tab to activate. Temperature monitoring has now begun.

Long Shelf Life

Durable enough to stay on the product during the entire shelf life of 2 years.

Electronic temperature indicator and report

Digital capture

The Timestrip TIR can be read by the LED lights. You can also use an app to scan and monitor the status.

PDF Data

PDF files are generated by automatically establishing an evaluation report with embedded data via a smartphone app.

The report shows statistics (min/max, alarm) and detailed indicator information (ID, configuration, etc.)

How it works

First, if configured, stop indicator by pressing play button for 3 seconds

Green & Orange LED blinks 3 times ( O  O  ):  indicates stop – OK status

Red & Orange LED blinks 3 times ( O O ): indicates stop – alarm status

Secondly, check Configuration Profile and press play button before usage for 1 second

LED blinks orange 2 times ( ●● ): Indicator is ready for use

LED blinks orange 1 time (  ): do not use indicator

LED does not blink ( O ): do not use indicator

Break tab to start the Timestrip TIR and enclose it with the product

Green LED 3 blinks, 3 times  ( ●●● O ●●● O ●●● ): indicates start

Green LED 3 blinks every 30 seconds ( ●●● ): Alarm activation delay may be indicated

During temperature monitoring, alarm status can be detected by pressing button for 1 second

Green LED blinks 1 time ( ): indicates OK status

Red LED blinks 1 time ( ): indicates irreversible ALARM status

Timestrip recommends to the customer to check the alarm status on a regular basis

Orange LED blinks 1 time after green LED ( )- OK status of a stopped indicator

Orange LED blinks 1 time after red LED ( )- Alarm status of a stopped indicator

Frequently Asked Questions

Timestrip TIR

A 100% temperature calibration of all sensors was performed during manufacturing. A 100% functional test is performed during assembling. Calibration standards are calibrated by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory and are traceable to ISO/IEC 17025, and/or national/international standards (equivalent to NIST, UKAS, DKD).

Timestrip TIR is developed and fully validated following the guideline “GAMP5 A Risk-Based Approach to Compliant GxP Computerized Systems”. By following the GAMP5 guidelines, the development and validation process is transparent and conforms to the international standard.

They use a button cell battery type. This avoids customs delays and dangerous goods label requirements per IATA’s 2017 Dangerous Goods Regulations’ 58th Edition.

We use photonics (optical communication) to transmit the data. The Timestrip TIR communicates via LED- flicker. The Smartphone App uses the camera to film the LED-flicker and translates into clear text (alarm status, statistics and events).

Yes. After read-out, shipping or product specific information can be added in the Smartphone App.

Yes. they provide alarm status and statistics for each zone – Allowed Time, Total Time, Number of Excursion, Longest Excursion, Alarm Status as well as configuration details such as – Profile ID, Logging interval and logging results – Highest and lowest temperature including timestamp, time of first alarm, Start and read out time.

No, Digital TTIs are no data logger but an indicator. Means: it is not storing the measurement row but just the statistics, events and status.

No. Timestrip TIRs  are a convenient, cost-effective, single-use electronic monitoring devices, programmed during the manufacturing process. The devices are designed for limited operation life and are not reprogrammable.

Yes. Timestrip TIRs can be read out multiple times during operation. Thanks to the documentation capability, they are the ideal device for continuous temperature monitoring and calculating remaining stability budget along the entire supply chain.

A basic version of the Smartphone App is available for free in the App Store (iOS) and the Google Play Store (Android).

The status OK or ALARM can be read visually by checking the blinking LEDs. In order to document the status one needs a smartphone and the app installed.

Timestrip TIR are designed to monitor pharmaceuticals over its complete lifetime of up to 2 years.

The technical specifications are available on the Timestrip website.
