timestrip plus 8C

Timestrip PLUS

The world's most widely deployed liquid-based time temperature indicator. Timestrip PLUS records the cumulative time a product has spent above a defined temperature threshold — from −20°C to +38°C — making it the go-to solution for last-mile cold chain validation in pharma, food, and logistics

Timestrip Complete 25C

Timestrip Complete

The only temperature indicator label that monitors in both directions. Timestrip Complete alerts when temperatures rise too high and when they fall too low — ideal for products with a defined safe range, such as 2–8°C vaccines or controlled room temperature medicines.

What Is a Temperature Indicator?

A temperature indicator is a device applied directly to a product or its packaging to provide a visible, auditable record of whether that product has been exposed to damaging temperatures during storage or transit.

Unlike a thermometer — which shows only the current temperature at the moment of reading — a temperature indicator captures and displays the history of thermal exposure. The best temperature indicators, like the Timestrip range, show not just whether a breach occurred, but how long it lasted and whether it was cumulative across multiple excursion events.

Temperature indicators are used wherever products have strict thermal stability requirements: pharmaceutical cold chains, vaccine distribution, blood product logistics, food safety, clinical sample transport, and industrial chemical storage. They are a critical component of any compliance programme that must demonstrate, at the point of delivery or use, that a product has remained within its approved temperature range.

Why Choose a Timestrip Temperature Indicator?

Patented liquid-based technology — no electronics, no battery, no reader required
Instant visual result readable by any member of supply chain staff, without training
±1°C threshold accuracy; ±15% time accuracy under isothermal conditions
No pre-conditioning required — store and ship at ambient temperature until needed
Single-use and cost-effective enough for unit or carton-level monitoring

Where Are Temperature Indicators Used?

Pharmaceuticas
Timestrip temperature indicators provide evidence that medicines, biologics and vaccines have been maintained within approved temperature ranges at the unit level, without the cost or complexity of electronic data loggers.
Food Safety & Distribution
Temperature indicators attached at the carton or pallet level allow food safety managers, logistics operators, and receiving staff to validate compliance at every handoff point.
Blood & Clinical Samples
A temperature indicator applied at the point of collection or issue provides the transfusion team or laboratory with confidence that the sample has been correctly handled throughout transit

Temperature Indicator vs. Data Logger

Both temperature indicators and electronic data loggers provide evidence of thermal exposure, but they serve different roles in a cold chain compliance programme.
Data loggers capture a full timestamped temperature profile and is well-suited to high-value outer shipments requiring a complete audit trail. However, loggers are expensive, must be retrieved and connected to software to be read, and are impractical at the individual product or carton level.
Temperature indicators like the Timestrip range is single-use, battery-free and instantly readable by anyone — from warehouse operative to end recipient. It answers the most critical question at the point of use: has this product been out of temperature range, and if so, for how long?
For comprehensive cold chain coverage, many operations use both: a data logger on the outer shipper for the full journey record, and Timestrip temperature indicators at the unit level so that every handler can make an immediate compliance decision without specialist equipment.
